Went to go see Spiderwick Chronicles with
shygryf and, well, I am a horrible friend. I totes told her 615. When did I show up? just past 630. So I was late. Like I always am anytime I go to meet her. I'm made of fail. But - the good thing was that she pulled in to the restaurant parking lot right after me. So win!
We had a blast talking fandom, fandom politics *shudders at the phrase*, different past and future wankstorms and a variety of other happenings including the trials of her job and the trials of my jobs and... and the poor waitress didn't really know what to do with us, methinks. BUT - it was totes fun.
Spiderwick Chronicles -
It was a good cute movie. The acting in it was pretty good and the movie itself didn't have many rough spots. All in all, I quite liked it. There was one scene that made me giggle with the Harmonian allusions as it had the different kids riding a hippogryff (err, I mean a gryffin) and the girl was clinging to the little boy. And ok, they were siblings but this is fandom and no one is safe so I can giggle at the similarities.
I think the kids did a great job carrying this movie. I have to say that I sporfled when I realized that the evil ogre was played by Nick Nolte. The reason I recognized him? He looked a lot like his mugshot. :D:D:D
Martin Short was really funny as Thimbletack. He really sort of ruled.
I loved the way that the kids get rid of the bad guy. That made it for me.

Open house didn't go so well. Turns out that another realtor used my realtor's signs to point to their own open house. Made of fail, people, made of fail. However, our realtor is going to not only take it up with that realtor, she's going to have an open house on Saturday next. So hopefully that one goes better.
I'm about three days behind in responding to things. Speaking of being made of fail... when one is behind in responding, one shouldn't keep posting :/.
