We've had a lot of people (at work, obviously) go on FMLA. So I made a crack to the HR Director that there were only three people in the entire complex not on FMLA - me, her and my new boss.
New Boss calls a meeting and says it's regarding teambuilding (teambuilding is code for "make wook like sll", btw). Then, we go into the meeting and says it's going to be a short meeting and then says, so my last day is this friday. As in three days from now.
Um, what the shit? Seriously?
Then I get a phone call from the head honcho and she ASSUMES I will cover for the missing director like I did the last time. For no extra pay. For no extra perks. For not even a thank you. That's right, they didn't even give me a thank you for doing it. So, I said that I don't have time but if they had even thanked me the last time or treated all departments equally, then perhaps I would be willing to carve out some time. She acts clueless, I point out that someone else got a promotion for covering for a week when I didn't even get a thank you for covering for a month. She asks me what would make it right and I said, um, too little too late? Then she says that the second in charge will be back on monday so we'll all meet then.
At this point, I feel no guilt in saying "show me the money".
Anyone still watching this show? It's gotten really really good. This latest episode was EXCELLENT. Dude, all sorts of drama and action and finangling. It seriously got AWESOME and oh man, when Tommy found out that Dokie helped kill his dad and then started kicking the shit out of him? I was so fucking impressed. It really really rocked. I'm curious to see if the final episode is going to be a cliffhanger as they'd meant to have 22 episodes and only filmed 13 when it got canned. And then poor Jimmy on the floor crying while Joanie cleaned him up? Gah, my empathy was kicking in hardcore there. The poor guy, I mean, ok, he did it to himself kindasorta but to have that happen to him? What the shit, man? Seriously, Dokie had brass balls doing that to Jimmy and not expecting the Donnellys to come after him.
Also - I have much love for Mom Donnelly. She was hilarious with the new girlfriend of Sean's. I love how she was bitchy and then offered the girl porkchops. TEEEHEEEE. All in all, this latest episode was made of win.
