Off to the cottage again ....
Here's to being stuck on an island with my family for a good 48 hours (at the least).

Next year I'll just pull out of my parents' idea of "family weekend at the cottage". It leaves my parents free to interogate me for the whole weekend, I never get any sleep between my both my brother and dad snoring, and it's pretty much a foregone conclusion my mother will push on me until I snap back at her.
Then she'll do the whole "oh I'm so hurt" deal, dad'll roll his eyes and tell me to "be nice", and we'll have an akward silence for an hour or two. Then she'll start the whole thing rolling again. Honestly, it's just icing on the cake that my friends are all trying to get together for the long weekend to have a good time and I can't, I'd rather sit in my apartment solo for the weekend than be stuck with my family.
Next year, I'll actually have the balls to just say no. This year, I'll just hope it's over with quickly.
