Back to the grind.
- It is snowing for the 5th time this morning in Dallas. I am so glad I work from home and can see this from my office window.
- Still dealing with the alarm company from the break-in detailed in my last post. Events are moving along but very slowly. They admitted fault and are refunding the installation for sure. I faxed the police report this morning detailing loss of property. I'm also gonna ask for free monitoring for 8 months since the system was not working properly for 8 months.
- The new shed the handy man assembled looks terrific. I'll move stuff out of the garage on Thursday since it will not warm enough until then. Although, with the fat I am accumulating from eating and winter storage, I could probably survive the cold.
- New windows for the house arrive on Thursday. New carpet for the office will be installed on Friday. We finalize the move out to the office the week after.
- We booked our airline tickets for our Atlantis cruise of the Far East in March and April. We'll have an extra day in Singapore and 1.5 days in Tokyo. Wheee!
- I keep obsessing over deal news sites, wanting to find that perfect item at the perfect price. But I have no idea what it is. Best thing I have found so far is a Kodak v1273 point and shoot for my sister-in-law at 30% off and a Nerf gun w/ Wii game for my nephew-in-law that has been out of stock.
- I finally got my HTC Touch Pro phone. Love it! So much fun to tinker with settings. Starting to look at porting some of our apps to Windows Mobile so this will be a good actual test tool other than the emulators. I may see if I can get my Dr. Strange cursor set to work in it when TouchFlo is disabled.
- I gave David a Christmas present early. A wool/cashmere top coat, scarf, and gloves. It has been very handy for him so far since the weather has been unusually cold.
- Rosie is still growing. It is fun to watch her personality develop as well as Tuffy interact with her. He'll actually share the big bed with her for a while and then resign himself to the other bed since she squirms and cuddles up to him. Ew...girls.
