oh yeah Hernia's are fun. I just had one fixed a couple of years ago. Funny thing is. I didn't know you could get a hernia having sex. That's exactly how I got mine. I let mine go for about four years. And mine eventually dropped into my ball sack. I use to get all kinds of compliments when i'd wear my tight jeans. I was asking the surgeon if we could lift that puppy back up yet keep the look down below and make the other side match. of coarse he just shook his head and rolled his eyes.

I won't lie it'll hurt like fuck for about the first week. but the outcome is much better than letting it go and having it hurt. At least you're catching yours early and getting it taken care of. It might not be so bad.
