(no subject)
Blah, I woke up with a headache today... >_< I was planning to go out today, not for anything in particular, but I need to post my grandad's birthday card and I'm out of Vanilla Coke, so I figured I'd go to university (I haven't been there for ages; it's a nice campus to go to even though I'm no longer a student) and get/post stuff there. But now I couldn't be bothered. x_x :p I might go anyway, we'll see.
Anyway, I don't have a lot to say here, I'm just updating because I haven't updated for quite a while... even Rukasu posted in his journal the other day, so I thought it was about time I did. :p There's not a lot going on in my life at the moment - I'm very close to starting to look and apply for jobs, but I'm not quite there yet. >_> I'll probably start late this week, and get properly going next week. Money is pretty tight, but not too tight to pay the bills or anything.
I've gotten into Pokemon again recently (hence the icons, which I made last week)... >_> It's great. :D Actually, when I think about it, I get more enjoyment from watching Pokemon than I do from half the other stuff that would be in my 'top 10 anime' lists. It's kind of like One Piece; watching it just makes me happy. And what it lacks in plot compared to OP, it makes up for in, well, Pokemon. Which are insanely cute and/or cool. Having cable TV rocks, since there are episodes on every day (often repeats, but still)... we've downloaded quite a few eps too, including a couple of raw Japanese. :p
I'm surprised at how much of the Japanese I understood actually... don't get me wrong, it was still an extremely small amount (just a few sentences really), but I've never gone to the slightest bit of effort to learn any Japanese at all (aside from trying + failing to learn the hirigana and katakana charts a few times)... I guess a few things have seeped in from watching subbed anime so much, as well as playing Japanese games like Naruto: GNT. Anyway, one day I'll learn it properly! ...Maybe. Pokemon's pretty easy to follow even without understanding the dialogue, though, so it was still cool. :p
I've been training up a second team in Sapphire too (my first team reached lvl 100) - they're all level 60+ now. :) There are still so many more in the game that I want to train up too... x_X There are far too many cool Pokemon.
Bleach this week was boring... Naruto was both boring and exciting, somehow. Next week's should be good, though. :) And we're up to about ep 95 in One Piece, things are getting pretty good there too.
Um... I think that's about all I have to say. Life's going ok; not looking forward to all this job stuff, but I'll forget about that for just a few more days. Ah, my headache was gone to some extent while I've been typing this, so maybe I'll go out after all. :)
