Yesterday was definitely the best day of the semester. The biggest bullshit battle I've ever seen took place in free speech alley. The hardcore christian bible thumper was out with his sandwich board that named all the groups that will be going to hell. He was yelling about how we should love everyone. Everyone is going to hell. We should hate all muslims.
There was a muslim out there. Contradicting and correcting everything the bible thumper said. They yelled at each other. The muslim preached to us about the good parts of the Koran, and conveniently leaving out the part that says to kill all infidels.
The muslim made one awesome argument that made all the atheists standing around applaud him. When the bible thumper was telling us we are going to hell because we went to Mardi Gras, the muslim broke in and yelled, "As a muslim I cannot practice Mardi Gras, but if I had a choice of celebrating Mardi Gras or listening to his filth, I will choose Mardi Gras."
Then some dude started yelling at the muslim about how he knew more about Islam than he did. He basically made an ass of himself, just like every uber-christian who feels the need to preach at free speech alley. He left.
Napoleon Dynamite made a few appearances It was awesome.
A couple of Mormons stood off to the side and watched the whole display. They were quiet. It was different.
Then the super-christian came back to preach some more. He was also filled with bullshit.
A kid in a motorized wheelchair did laps around the bible thumper and left. It was incredibly funny.
My biology teacher from last semester showed up and we took turns ridiculing the bible thumper. I almost felt like my words had some sort of authority when there was a PhD standing right next to me agreeing with what I said.
A homeless guy showed up. He started preaching, too. He had no voice, nor did he have teeth. I almost felt sorry for him. He was so passionate about what he was yelling about, but nobody could understand him. I know that at one point he looked at the sky and yelled at the sun to come out from behind the building.

All in all, a really fun experience.
