Cable Cars and Craziness

Monday started in hot and heavy and i was pulled in two directions at once. It was a battle, but i got a fair rating and promotion recommendation for my guy. But i had one computer and earpiece with that call and then trying to pay attention in the training. *ugh* Once it was over, i go tto see a couple of things on the way home. Union Square is right in front of the St Francis - quite a historic hotel...need to bring Matt here next time - and it's a lovely place (and most of the homeless are down by the Civic Center, so not as bad).

With a cable car stop right in front of the hotel and a MUNI pass that works on it, i figured i'd just go over the hill to Fisherman's Wharf for dinner, armed with recommendations from Tony/tonethbone. Plus, you have to have the obligatory hey-i'm-hanging-off-the-side-of-a-freakin'-cable-car shot.

No, admittedly, i'm not a "fish person", but i do enjoy shellfish. Just not fishy fish! So i went to Ailito's and they found me a very nice little "loser" table (barely big enough for one) but that meant i got a great view of the boats and the GG bridge. Dinner was as yummy as it was overpriced. Crab Mornay, Lobster & Shrimp Ravioli and Tiramisu with a nice bottle of Chianti.

i lingered over dinner, but that was fine. It was nice to unwind a bit. And the cablecar home made for a leisurely trip as well.
