Mahalo and Aloha!

Sunday was our last day, so we just piddled around the pool and the beach. They say that at the end of your visit, you should throw your lei into the ocean when you leave - the flowers are dying by now anyway. If they head towards shore, that means you will return one day. Granted, you are supposed to throw them overboard as your ship leaves the harbor and since we wouldn't throw them out the airplane windows, this was the next best thing.

i guess we're coming back. WIN!!

The ocean was chilly, but Matt was a good sport. So i got him a fru-fru drink to sip in the hot tub to warm up.

In Hawaii, the sight of a fat boy in speedos doesn't even raise an eyebrow.

Finally it was time to go. So we got dressed in our nice shirts, turned in the Jeep and got to the plane. We got our stuff up in the overheads and squeezed in for our long flight home. Fortunately, there was an empty seat next to us, but the armrests even up got in the way. Plus, Matt had his leg medicine in his checked bags and time was up. So it was a rough night over the Pacific and the entire continental US to Atlanta.

We finally got to Atlanta and set up shop at the SkyClub. We changed into something a bit more, well, warm and then made our way on an uneventful flight home to STL. And with that, the vacation was over. Home to the kids. Mahalo and Aloha. Back to reality.
