The Return of the Naughty Elves
Saturday night, Matt and i posed as the Naughty Elves to auction off some goodies donated by Steve/rexsteed to raise money for kids w/ HIV/AIDS. We brought in $700 on an otherwise slow Friday night which was rather surprising! We had a couple of choice items up for bid, but a couple rather surprising items caught the eyes of our guest, such as the "Finding Nemo" lightbox! Who knows? Thanks Steve!! Plus, we had enough stuff that our buddy, the ever-adorable Chad, is going to hold another round next Wednesday when the Riverfront Times, our "SF Gate", "VillageVoice"-type alternanews weekly paper is going to hold a "Tweet-Up" party at the bar. Who knows what these weird straight people are up to, but we will do anything to seperate them from their money...especially since the paper is buying the drinks!! "Take a sip and bid!" as our good friend Adam the auctioneer likes to say. Good advices!
