The night before, i'd managed to score a bottle of wine and a box full of goodies from the Concierge Lounge at the Airport Marriott. If you're gonna be stranded, you might as well be taken care of. Plus i didn't have to order room service. There's sixty bucks right there.
OK, so you already know that i flew home on Friday morning and had to share airspace with enemies-of-the-people Sarah and Todd Palin. After Matt picked me up, we went to see Junior for my semi-annual check-up and lube-job.
We ran into our friend Tim in the waiting room. At the town's most popular "gay doctor's office", the chances of running into your friends is pretty high. But i think we're more open and sharing and men's health issues are something shared by us all. Junior had a student from Wash U Med School by to go for a test drive. Everything was wonderful - BP, EKG, EIEIO - but the whole borderline blood sugar thing wasn't so much borderline anymore. Admittedly, i've been eating like crap these last 6 weeks since we did the product rollout. So two more pills to take. But i don't know if losing 80 lb is realistic.
In all the hoopla, we ran off w/out me getting my flu shot. We'd gotten halfway home when i realized it, but i wouldn't be back for a month, so we went back to get it. It is cold and flu season after all...
