We went down to the Dodge dealer where we bought the van to get a trailer wiring harness. We got a trailer hitch to put on the van and JC Whitney was out of stock on the electricals so Matt called the dealer. They guy said that he had them in stock, but when Matt asked him for the part number so he could ask for it, the guy told him to just come and get it and hung up. So we drove down there, waited 20 minutes for some help - even though there were a ton of employees hanging out - and when the guy finally looked it up and went looking for it, ten minutes later he said, "I can't find it." Matt was a little upset to say the least. Then i went to pay for it and when asked for ID by the cashier, i showed her my Army identification card and she said, "this is no good, I need a driver's license." That was it. We drove up to the main building and went looking for the manager and Matt just went off on them. Between the service this morning and the way he was treated by their car rental staff earlier in the week (or the week before, i can't remember since i've been gone) he wasn't going to take it anymore and said that "if we could be married in this state, we would, but don't you think that after serving this country for over 20 years we deserve a little respect?" i was so proud of my Mr Wonderful. i love him so!
On the way home, we snoozed our exit which we used as an excuse to go by Gus' Pretzels for lunch. We brought them home and had a little impromptu picnic in the backyard. This kids wanted some, but no, best to keep them on the Puppy Chow.
