A Slump On The Midweek Hump

Jun 25, 2011 15:09

Wednesday started early and rainy and looked like it would be better, but by the afternoon, it had decended into shit. i was stuck late, but couldn't get out of there soon enough.

Since it was already near 9'ish, i wandered down to the Eagle/Bolt for dinner and to sing a few tunes. It was still raining, but with my little umbrella, i was just fine. i got a bite and then they finally got started. i sang Jethro Tull's "Aqualung" which is 40 years old this year. Damn, that's a long song. Has it really been 40 years? Yes, i remember when that song came out. It's still an amazing album from start to end. i also did Patsy Cline's "i Fall To Pieces". i lost some of the medley on the verses, but faked it out and didn't totally sucked. i met Adiv, who i've known from online for a long time. He dosn't always frown like his user pics might suggest. In all, a nice respite from my terrible week.
