A Prairie Home After Party
For the last time, "A Prairie Home Companion" was broadcast live from the Fox Theatre in St Louis, MO. Garrison Keillor, the shows start and lead writer, retires after this season. 30-something years is enough, i suppose.
i'd paid extra for an invite to the cast party at the Fox Club. It was nice and we'd never been up there before. We got to meet Sue Scott and sound-effects genius Fred Newman at the after party. They loved Matt and my outfits. Yes, we had our red sneakers on too!
We were on our way out and saw Garrison Keillor come out of the stage door enroute to the after party. i got to shake his hand and thank him for all the wonderful years. Thank you, Mr Keillor, for all the stories.
