Matt & woofer Buy A Minivan - Part 2

Friday was supposed to be easy. i was up early to do some work. my throat and those stupid lymph nodes were all swollen so it was like i was being choked (which can be fun in some situations...this was not one of those). We left about 9:30 and i had to swing downtown to our local office to swap out the power cord on my laptop (piece of crap) while Matt drove around the block and then out to Junior's to get a Z-pack for this infection and review the results of my physical (i'm in perfect health, thank you very much).

Then we drove out to Chesterfield to pick up the car. Everything went pretty smoothly..no haggling, no stress...here's some money and we're done. i did all of my loan stuff online with my credit union that is based in Portsmouth, NH. Granted, i've never been to NH, but i've been with this CU since '83 when they financed my '76 BMW 2600. 3.6% interest isn't bad...only $225/mo for three years and this sucker is paid for!

The only part that pissed me off was setting up the satellite radio. We have an XM for the Mercedes and the van is already set up for Sirius. OK, they're one company now, so this shouldn't be a problem. Well, it is. You can't get a multiple reciever discount because one's XM and the other is Sirius. So even though they've merged and the programming is the same and all the money goes to the same pot, they can't put their customers in the same pot. Assholes. No matter, we're going to dump the XM soon anyway. As long as Matt's happy, i'm happy.
