Favorites, Collected...CHEAP
OMG, Becky!! OK, so, since i'm under a bit of a budget crunch, i gladly took grunter's suggestion and went to Amazon to pick up my set. i was actually able to drop it into my shopping cart at his price while i was at work, but i got swamped and then, after work, i had to work some MORE on a side project that kiwi59 and i have been working on (details forthcoming) and didn't get finished with that until 11:30 last night. *YAWN*
OK, so this morning i'm sitting here at the kitchen table (to see how i'm dressed, just use my "taxes" tag *WINK*) and i bring up my Amazon account. "Sorry, the DVD is no longer $16.98, it's now $24.98." Oh well, getting the double-CD for only $15 is still a good deal and buying both gets me free shipping. "i'll DO IT!!"
So i change my shopping cart to FREE SHIPPING and go to checkout. i look and not only do i get the $3.97 back on the shipping by waiting until the DVD is out next week, i get something called "Best Value Savings" which is for $24.98!!!! That's the price of the DVD!!! That means, i get the DVD for....FREE!!!! Holy crap!!
i didn't believe it so i did screen grabs of the receipt. This is the email receipt. i'm still wondering if there's a catch. i didn't sign up for their VISA card, so it's not that $30 off. i'm wondering if they're going to try and swap me the single disc CD for the double-disc collector's edition...guess i have to wait a week to find out.
Still, not too shabby. Even if i DO wind up with the single disc, i paid full price for the DVD, got the shipping free and have a nice xmas present while i go to the local record shop and pic up the double disc.
Looks like things are finally starting to turn and my luck is starting to change after all. Of course, it HAD to. After all, i've got my "lucky charm" (with his pink heart and even cuter pink butt!!).
It may not quite be the end of the world (though sometimes it seems that way, don't it), but i feel fine, nonetheless. HUGZ!
EDIT: True to grunter's prediction, Amazon cancelled the order. Fuckers.
