Liberation Day
This past week, Matt has been collecting household goods and furniture for a woman and her kids who were planning on escaping her alcoholic husband who gambles away all of their money. We took some furniture over on Friday and on Saturday morning spent a couple of months worth of "fun money" on a couple of carts of basics so they'd be able to eat. She has a job and had saved up some money, but since he had ruined their credit, she had to pay huge deposits on things like gas and electric. Hopefully this will get them over the hump.
