Matt made it in last night. i, of course, got delayed at the office, so he took the light rail into the city. Then a car crashed on the tracks delaying the train. i got into the city before him and waited at the Metrodome station. When his train finally got in, i hugged him and kissed him (and called him "George" - inside joke) and we went to the car i'd left around the corner. As we rounded the corner, there was a meter cop walking back to his car. "You're parked in a handycap zone...it's $270 and we tow the car!" What a douche. i didn't even see the sign which was two cars forward behind a minivan. He snagged 6 cars...quite a coup. The bitch is that the ticket is for $278 and the sign said "fines up to $200". Do i go to court to try and save the $78? Not that i can really afford two-hundred bucks, but it's $78 cheaper. Of course, i risk court costs >$78. This city has really hardcore metermaids.
Matt was starving so we went to Uptown to go to Chino Latino. Jeff & Jamie had first taken me here way back when and i wanted to share it with Matt. It was way crowded with all the cool kids out in trendy Uptown, but we got a seat on the street which really wasn't that bad. Matt impressed the server chick by wolfing down the Habenero Hell Poppers (that come with a warning label that they are really too hot to eat, so don't complain when your mouth spontaneously combusts!) and said he really enjoyed them. He's crazy. This weekend is probably going to suck with work and this may have been a terrible idea. But i don't care. i got to sleep in his arms and drool on his chest lat night and that is worth any price.
