En'Cube Dining a al Piggy - Folly Failures
During this heavy work schedule, they've been bringing in lunch for us. Sub sandwiches, a soup & salad bar and yesterday was Famous Dave's Bar-B-Q. Not my favorite (a local chain) but a nice break. Fortunately, i had these cloth napkins i hijacked from the Sheraton a couple of weeks ago.
i only had to work until about 8pm so i was able to walk down to karaoke at the Eagle. The crowd was thin when it first started, so i did some weird stuff: a swing version of "Funkytown", Fleetwood Mac's "Rhiannon" about an octave or two lower than Stevie Nicks, Til' Tuesday's "Voices Carry" and then Pearl Jam's "Even Flow". None of them was especially good as i've been having sinus problems this week, but that's just an excuse. i simply couldn't get the key right. To be honest, "Funkytown" was the best of the bunch. Oh well.
