i was 9 years old. We had a Westinghouse black-&-white television that i guess might have been 15" which was a pretty good size for back in those days, though the more well off were getting color televisions. We weren't so well off. As i recall, we were packing the boat and the station wagon to leave on our annual vacation to Table Rock Lake. We would kind of tag team back and forth to see what was happening. i was building a model of a '48 Ford convertible that i painted OD Green because i couldn't afford any other paint. It was a rotten paint job. No matter. We watched it and it was amazing. Could you believe it? A man on the moon. And we were watching it!!! It Finally, mom sent us to bed since we had a long day ahead of us. But think about it...they did it with a fraction of the computing power that you have in your cell phone. We were primitive. We were amazing.
