OK, so it's the last day of the month and i haven't gotten around to creating the pictures for all the questions for Question Month. So, if nothing else, you get the answers. Maybe i'll do some pictures later (i've had the ideas...just not the time). Maybe not. *sigh*
Sunbaked
scottokc asked two questions:
1. If you could do anything (job wise), what would you like to do?
When i was younger, i always wanted to be a Top-40 radio DJ. Back in the '60s and '70s, DJs ruled the airwaves and i used to pretend i was one as i spun 45s on our pinebox record player that we got from Sears. Those days are long gone now and i'd be happy not to hear another DJ unless they have something important to say about the music and even then...
i also wanted to make movies. But i always figured it was a pipedream and, well, you can see how that turned out. i don't watch movies like i used to. Not even at home. Seems it's hard to commit to a two-hour stretch of time. *sigh*
2. I know that you're a sub. Do you ever have a desire to be the dominant one?
Only on very rare and special occassions. And even then, it's in more of a mentoring role than as a Top. But don't get me wrong, i can slide into that dominant role very easy. As you may recall, i was an Army Platoon Sergeant for 7 years so it pretty much comes naturally. It's just that i prefer not to. Most of the time. i see myself as more of a mentor than a Top. As i get older, i'll have to embrace my "daddyhood", but i'll always be a big ol' Daddy's boy at heart. Like they say, "age ain't nothin' but a number."
emsbear asked two more questions:
Favorite color? i think
thornyc said it best last week when He mentioned that i "looked good in blue". i used to be all black and grey when i was younger, but the blues started creeping in and i think that i pretty much have a lot of it in my wardrobe. So without thinking about it, i think it just has subconsciously manifested itself as my favorite color.
Do you call them "sprinkles" or "jimmies" or something else? What, these things on top of cupcakes? i don't even use or like them. It says on the jar "sprinkles", so i guess that's what they're called.
The surprisingly non-vertical
ursusnoir asked:
So how tall were you expecting me to be when we met?
i was thinking at least 6' or more. You just give that impression of someone with a large stature. Not that i was disappointed when we met, far from it! As you may have noticed, i have a think for short, heavyset and intense men. WOOF!!!!
niebuck digs deep and asks:
what is your biggest fear?
Suffocation.
andrewisboredHey woofer. When did you start taking pictures every day?..and how come you do it?
First, i blame LJ and specifically, my friend Jim/
themonkeybear. He would always illustrate his posts with pictures and i thought that was pretty cool, so i started taking a camera along sometimes and found myself developing an eye for interesting things that i could share and before long i was only posting if i had a picture to go with what i had to say. Sometimes the picture dictated the post and other times i would create a picture to illustrate what i wanted to say. This led to flickr since i needed a place to host all of the pictures i wanted to post and LJ's space didn't work. While i was there, i started joining groups and getting inspiration and was posting more and more pictures. Then, a little more than a year ago, i decided to take the plunge and commit to the 365 group where you have to take a picture every-single-day. Not as easy as it may seem, even for a camera whore like me. Somedays i'm just not feeling it. But i do it. You can see the whole first year
here and what i have so far this year
here.
assortednuts1969 on Flickr fesses up:
Ok, everyone else probably gets it, all but me.
What is percussive maintenance?
Don't feel bad, it's not a term that is in general use, though i've hinted around enough that i figured everyone would get it by now. The term itself goes back to the "old days" when banging on TVs and radios would actually help if they started going on the fritz. It probably had something to do with the tubes that used to be in them. As with anything else, you can't just call it "banging on the television", i started calling it "percussive maintenance". As you may have gathered, i'm a big ol' BDSM bottom. Much to my surprise, i have found that i enjoy getting beat on. That would include getting my balls smacked, my ass spanked and then a good flogging. But instead of just saying that i went to get an ass-whoopin', i recycled that phrase and it really fits because when i've had a session i really do feel a lot better. Matt/
kiwi59 doesn't do it to me...he can't bring himself to hurt me...but Sir/
raz0001 has no qualms in performing some intense percussive maintenance on me since He knows exactly what i need.
rhyno1975 throws out a stringer:
Do you have a particular "type" of guy you are attracted to or do you have many types? Also, if you do have a certain type has you always found that type attractive or have your tastes changed over time?
Well, as i've mentioned above, i've always been a big ol' Daddy's boy at heart. You know, the big, burly, hairy Daddy bear who was a good 15 years older than me or so. WOOF!! But as i've grown up (and the number of older men diminished) i've found myself broadening my horizons.
Daddy Ed wasn't very tall. Sir isn't either. Matt is neither tall NOR furry. And my eyes have been opened to all the hot younger bears and cublets and guys that aren't heavyset at all. Just ask lil' Matt/
directorbear i've learned to take every man on his own merit. Sure, everyone will have something that really catches their eye. But if you fixate on that, you miss out on a lot of really great men. i used to be like that. i'm not anymore. Lucky me!
Anonymous caller Derek would like to know:
In which other state would you live instead of STL ? or u truly recommend to live ?
Well, i loved living in Germany and after 9 years in Mannheim, it was more my home than STL. LA was kinda fun while i was there, but all the crap you had to put up with wasn't worth it. i don't know if i could move to a bigger city since i couldn't afford it. i've always been interested in the Pacific Northwest, but haven't lived there, so i can't recommend it. All i can say is keep your feelers out and find the place that's right for you because what's right for me might not (and probably isn't) right for you.
New LJ'er,
larsbear got fooled by the smoke and mirrors and asked:
Hey woofer, Looks like you had a great time with lots of friends new and old in Texas. Your photos also show a guy who has lots of self-confidence and charisma, not to mention seriously humpy good looks. My question is "do you have fears about things?" or maybe "what is it you fear about life?"
Though it may look like i'm very self-confident in my pictures, it's all a facade. As you may have read in these past couple of weeks, i'm a jumbled mess of insecurities. That "charisma" is all done in Photoshop. i have lots of fears. But i've learned to live with my demons and the ghosts that haunt me to this day. You have to if you want any life at all. Good luck.
Well, that's it, kids. You can see all of this month's questions and answers
here and hell, you can always ask me a question.
