This Is The Day To Proclaim Our Faith!
"We are ready to lead once more!" i thought it was amazing that our new President was able to tell the world that there's a new Jello-sheriff in town (you of a certain age will understand) and that there would be no more of the policies of the chucklehead who had to sit there and take it, even if it was made with a velvet glove, it was still a big ol' slap. Fuck him! We won't have to make "a false choice between our safety and our ideals". And anyone who doesn't want to play nice: "We will defeat you!" i listened on the radio in a sea of spoil-sport republicans and smiled from ear to ear. i listen to excerpts i don't know how many times after that. That night, we all met to celebrate Bush being canned with a few canned Busch. A great day for America. In the words of another former president: "our long national nightmare is over". Amen.
