Sick Of It All

i don't know what's with me. i work and i work and ... nothing. i finally get some time off and BAM!! i get sick. Same shit as last month too. Yesterday morning, i thought that the fever was breaking and i just relaxed on the couch and started sorting through my pictures to start the annual Picture of the Year vote-down. Trying to get through to the doctor or dentist on the Monday after a holiday weekend is an act of utter futility. But around noon, my fever came back with a vengance even though i'd been alternating between Tylenol and Motrin all morning so there was SOMEthing at work at all times. It even spiked to over 103! Scary. i finally got ahold of the dentist and they said that they had no record of my dropping in on them last month. Idiots. So i have an emergency appointment for next Wednesday morning. Some emergency, right? Then again, it's better than nothing. i got through to the doctor's office and told them the same thing and the woman said she'd have him call something in. But when Matt went by on his way home from work, there was nothing. Robert dropped by in the afternoon and had scored me some good NyQuil - the kind you gotta sign for - and my fever started dropping back down to normal. Once Matt got home, i started feeling better and got out of my sweat-soaked clothes and into some dry duds. But about 7 i started getting the chills and my fever was on the loose again. Matt took the jeep - still no word on the Merc - and went over to check on themonkeybear and the boys. About 15 minutes later he called and was asking me if there was something i needed to tell him about the brakes on the jeep. What?? He should have known that when you're talking to someone with their brain on fire, simplicity is the best way...don't be so fucking cryptic. Turns out, the brakes on the right rear wheel were starting to seize up or something and a cop had pulled him over because they were smoking like crazy. Oh man, what else can happen? The cop finally left him alone after giving him a ticket for not having proof of insurance - the one question Matt didn't ask me - so that just adds insult to injury. Thanks a lot, asshat. So now i've got continuing spiking fever and both of our cars are dead. i really don't know what to do. i can't sleep, i'm a big sweaty mess and i'm lost. Fevers suck.

366, cars, sick
