themonkeybear and his hubbies hosted a mexican-themed summer party yesterday that was just what we needed to break up the summertime doldrums. The weather was beautiful, the men were woofy, the food was good, the beer was cold. Lots of watersports, too! The full set of pics can be seen here. Good times.

Coco decided that sitting in the shade was the perfect thing to do and she did it most of the afternoon. i won the gold metal for the spelling bee, but i don't remember what my word was.
i found a mini-keg of Kölsch at the liquor store...went great with the "SHOTZ!"
And a special thank you to all the well-wishers for Matt and my seventh anniversary yesterday, i'm behind on responding to all of the comments over the weekend. Also, i failed to notice that two weeks ago was seven years since my official retirement date from the Army. Ah, i was never good with dates anyway. But some things fade. Has it been so long? A lifetime ago. A lifetime with Matthew. Life is good.
