I can't help but wonder how much set-up is involved in getting some of those pictures. For example, you must have one hell of a patient doctor for him to wait while you get the smile on your face just right with him standing there, etc.
I'm glad to read that tis just a treatable bone spur and nothing more than that. What kind of dog is that you guys have? Certainly a cutie! (big dog-lover here).
Actually, very little physical setup is usually involved...i try to have most of it worked out in my head beforehand or i just go ahead and throw it out there. In this one, it was actully a lucky mistake. i had set up my timer and it was counting down when Junior walked into the room for the first time. To be honest, i have no idea what i was saying when the picture was taken, but it had to have been within the first 5 seconds after he came in and honestly, i expected to just have a big picture of his lab coat.
i really hope they can do something. i don't want this to be a chronic issue. Coco is an approx. 9-y/o Chocolate Lab that Matt stole from this asshole that was abusing her.
Man, if i had a remote, i could really do some damage. As it is, though, i just use a little Panasonic point-n-shoot that is small enough to fit in my pocket and a little gorillapod that fits in another. That way i can take it everywhere - and i do - and it's pretty unobtrusive. Hell, Junior didn't even realise that i was taking a picture when he walked in. i sure as hell wish i know what i was talking about to give that goofy expression. LOL!
Well, it's safe to bet that you weren't exclaiming your pride for the St. Louis Cardinals on winning their 15th game in a row. LOL!
Chip and I were in St. Louis back in Feb/Mar/Apr 1997 with the first national tour of Sunset Boulevard at the Fox Theatre (what a big-ass place). I wasn't working (he was one of the keyboard players in the orchestra) so had LOTS of time to get to know the city. As a result, I ended up spending most of my time either rollerblading through Forest Park, at Union Station, at the YMCA (near Union Station or downtown) or some combination thereof. I sort of fell in love with STL then and, sadly, have never gone back (except to go "through" it twice).
Next time... you, me, my camera + remote -- and I'm sure we can get you in plenty more trouble than you were ever expecting! ;)
Speaking of trouble... IIRC the YMCA near Union Station was verrrrrry cruisy when we were there back in '97. I seem to recall spending four hours there and NEVER leaving the locker room.
Was I a naughty boy? That's all relative and immaterial at this point.
Needless to say, as I've mentioned before, I've fond memories of STL (which include but not are dependent upon the Arch).
I'd love to get a shot of me naked under the arch - doing nasty things if possible. I'm sure that area is so heavily-guarded, but still...
