Middle-Aged Scruffy
i've had it with this scruffy beard. It's been growing since last November. i hadn't planned on letting it go so long, but being in Switzerland for a month w/out a set of clippers kinda got me going down that road and the cold weather in Minneapolis was an incentive to keep it going. But it's just not me. It's too scraggly and the end of my chin is still sparse and this just emphasizes that. Wave goodbye, say hello.

When i came home last night and told Matthew that i was going to trim down my beard, he said, "Well, thank you, President Buchanan!!" He's been pretty tolerant of me when i do weird things with my hair like growing my beard or shaving my noggin', but he draws that line at letting me get a nosering. Alas, President Jim was clean-shaven. i was thinking maybe Martin Van Buren, but he just had the big muttonchops. Seems we've only had 4 presidents with beards. Think i look like any of my bewhiskered bretheren? Hair today, gone tomorrow.
NOTE: i'm not shaving it off...just taking a brush-hog to it and trimming it back to something a bit more...i dunno. i guess we'll find out this weekend.
