Coming Out Stories
It was the fall of 2001 and i'd only been out of the Army about 5 or 6 months. i'd been seeing Matt for a few months and decided that this would be my official coming out to my family: by taking him to my niece's wedding, the only event that would have all of my family and relatives together at one place. All those years in the Army had made me hyper-paranoid, but i had to get over it somehow. No big announcement, but they could tell we were together. My dad said he'd make a great son. i nearly lost it. Man, i got lucky.
