i made it home last night, though my baggage did not. Well, not ALL of it. my big bag with all of my clothes popped out, but when my smaller - though matching - bag came around on the belt, i picked it up and was struck by how light it was. Hmmm...let's look at the name tag. OOPS! Not mine. The belt shut down as the luggage attendant took the last bag off the carousel. i was directed to the Baggage Office. i tried to call the owner, but got his voice mail. i informed him that he should come by the office to get his bag and, trust me, don't open the bag.
At the office, after explaining three times that the description of the bag is "identical to the bag that i brought in here", i had to give them the description of three items that would be found in my bag. Hmmm...three things that you would mention to an unspecting baggage agent... Well, there was the pair of black, "Mack" boots. Then there was a black cloth bag inside the suitcase. Hmmm...a third one. Two bags of jockstraps? Assorted nipple clamps or a bag of clothes pins? A couple of anatomically-correct "insertables" or my really cute leather shorts with the lace-up crotch and the strategically placed 2-inch "buttonhole" sewn into the seat? Instead, i opted for "black leather cap" and left it at that. Besides, my name would be on the tag. After that, i went out and caught a cab and called Matt to find out where he was. He was at the bar, naturally (this being a Thursday), and so i directed the cab driver to take me there.

Matt was in a festive mood. OK, he was pretty much snockered. A LOT of the guys that were there were. No sooner did i walk in to say hi to Matt and get the keys to put my bags in the trunk while the cabbie ran my AMEX card, then leatherwolf1970 is on top of me and ramming his tongue down my throat. The reason for Matt's good cheer (other than tequila shots and Crown Royal on the rocks) was the fact that bobo_dreams is coming to town for HiBearNation! It's really going to make Matt's weekend and a big hug goes out to our dear Randy/redhochipe who was quite instrumental in helping us pull it off. On top of that, Matt's doctor has finally given him some GOOD snoozy-bye helpers to counteract his twitchy knee and he's finally gotten some sleep! Business is doing well too which is saying alot in these tough times in the housing and loan market.

Man, is it good to see him giggling again. My baby has been returned to me. And as of about 10:45 this morning, so has my toy bag. Have a great weekend, everybody!
