Controlling the Rain
You may recall the ditch that i dug along the upper side of the house about a month ago and the gutters that i cleaned out just this past week. Well, a midsummer rain this afternoon gave us a chance to see the results of our (read: "my") hard work. First, the water that used to overflow from the gutter no longer does...just a drop here and there as would be expected. And the water that washes down from the neighbor's house goes on back to the backyard. The berm at the wall of the house is bone dry...as is our basement. YEA, US!!
...and since we were out there and the rain had loosened up the weeds busting the cracks in the sidewalk, Matt decided to pull those suckers out as well. We love being out in the rain...
