You'll Never Walk Alone
A little Matt update for you all. As you can see, he's up and moving and rarely even uses his cane. He has his final visit with the surgeon today and i expect he'll have a clean bill of health. He still has problems sleeping for the whole night since it twitches, but that's to be expected (unfortunately) and his stamina isn't back up to snuff. But all that will come with time.
UPDATE: Just got a call from Matt! His appointment went fantastic, everything looks great and is healing good...PLUS last night he got the best sleep he's gotten in WEEKS!
This being Thursday, i usually get to go home today. Not so this week. Nor next week. i'm on-site here west of Chicago for three weeks until past our go-live date of the 18th and i get to go home the 22nd. There was no sense going home since it looks like i'll have to work this weekend, though there is a slim chance i might get Sunday off. Is Saturday night bear night at Touche'? What about the Eagle? Or is Chicago bear'd- and leather'd-out after the BP/IML double-whammie just two weekends ago? Of course, with my luck, the whole thing will go to hell and, just like the last time i tried to stay in the city, i'll get called back and have to work until 11 or midnight or some shit. i've been working until 10 or later every night and haven't had a chance to catch up on LJ for the past week! Fortunately, Matt will have friends around to look after him. And he'll always have Coco. And he'll never walk alone again.
