Peace and Quiet...

A few weeks I "returned to college"...  By which I mean that I re-enrolled...  By which I mean that I'm taking advantage of Westwood College's Lifetime Learning program.  Basically, if you get your degree through them, you can return at any point and re-take your old classes.  And for someone like me, with a degree in Architectural Computer Aided Design...  Well that's REDICULOUSLY handy, since the program is updated/changes pretty much every year and I can go back at any time and brush up on my skills!

The problem I'm facing is that the class I should be taking, isn't available this semester in the time-slot I need.  So I'm forced to take another class instead and unfortunately, they're not yet covering AutoCAD itself just yet...  They were supposed to start last night, so I showed up and the instructor informed me that they wouldn't be going until NEXT Monday.  So, I headed home...

After I took off my coat, shoes and pants...  I sat there in the living room, just...  Taking in the quiet.  Just the tap-tap-tapping of mjollnirr at the computer and the gentle whir of the refrigerator in the next room...  My schedule doesn't often allow for these quiet moments, so it actually came as a bit of a shock and for just a few moments, before I started working on my usual list of things that need to get done...  I sat back, relaxed and took in the quiet.

It was nice.

And it was followed by cooking dinner, cleaning, paying bills, balancing statements, filing, taking out garbage, doing laundry, more cleaning and attempting to hang my TV on the wall.  (There are no studs where I want them...  Consider this my next big project!!!  By which I of course mean, seven001's niext big project.)  And by the time 1A rolled around, I was crawling into bed and calling up Ryan to wish him a good night's sleep and tell him how much I love him...

All in all, it was a good day.  Productive!  Which is always a major positive in my book.  And now...  Back to work.
