I have yet to start working on my 2012 year-ender, and though laziness is the general theme of the year, I'll try my best to at least keep up with this one LJ tradition of mine, considering how absent I've been from LJ in general this year. Apologies really for failing at flisting this year.
One last shout out to
Katrina for getting me back into the blogging vibe with this meme. See you in 2013!
Loving: The holidays. Sure, I'm technically, not even on holiday, but with my siblings around and the slight decline in stress at work, there is a reason this season is my favorite. If only this would last all the way to my birthday and the rest of the year, life would be perfect. And no, I don't cherish it more because it's so precious and few. I wouldn't mind living like this all year round.
Reading: I'm on my last four books for the year as I finish match last year's target of 50, I will finish the year with more Nora Roberts because obviously, holidays become less cold when there is the warmth of the cheesy awesome lines and plots of Miss Roberts romances. And the Chesapeake Bay Saga seems like a fine way to go.
Watching: I know this is like 5-seasons old, but I finally sat down and just watched Parks and Recreation. And really, WY HAVE I NOT WATCHED YOU SOONER?! There's so much I love about it. From Andy to Ron to Ben/Leslie to Ann and Chris and just everything-Pawnee. I'm literally laughing out loud and rolling on the floor. Not in abbreviation form either. Watching it with my siblings just magnifies the enjoyment factor.
Anticipating: The new year. As wonderful as the highs were in 2012, the lows were pretty low and the work was pretty crazy. Sure, 2013 could totally blow but for now, there's nowhere to go but up. The optimism is putting me on a high and I'm excited for what the new year has to offer. I'm scared too, though. Lots of expectations, lots of newness about everything, so I'm also feeling nervous about it. But good-nervous. So fingers crossed.
Listening to: I know, I know. I'm totally late to the Ed Sheeran party, but I can't help it. His album + is just way too much love. I've listened to it way too many times. My dad sort of can sing along already cause I always play it in the car when we drive to work and it's making me all romance-y and pining for a guy, but it's okay. His voice, the lyrics, the awesomeness? I'm in love.
Planning: On seeing Les Miserables the first day it comes out in cinemas here. Because of the wonderful local-film fest we have every Christmas season, all foreign movies get pushed back. I've waited for Les Miz long enough, I want to make sure I don't miss out on it when it comes out -- the way I totally missed on The Dark Knight Rises when it came out in July. Or Magic Mike...
Working on: Speaking of missing things, I better start working on the year-ender and going through my backlog of books, TV shows and 2012 movies. Thank goodness (I can't believe I said that) for the holiday hiatus so I can catch up on my shows. I have two weeks worth of shows and the entire second half of 2012 in terms of movies to plow through. Oh right, the New Year is in four days and I'll be at work for two of those. Let's do this.
Wishing: I could take a big break -- so I can do all of the above. But alas, this isn't the case, so let's wish for a relaxing (despite the work) but productive (for fun stuff) rest of 2012.
