It was not your fault but mine & it was your heart on the line I really fucked it up this time

Didn't I My Dear?[38 Down/14 To Go!][+] Eventful week much? Not only was it my last week in the office, it was also the first half of my mini-break before my new work starts. It would be my second trip to Singapore but the first that I paid 86% for.

[+] I finally get to visit my siblings instead of it being the other way around and my siblings have been the perfect hosts making sure I see EVERYTHING awesome in Singapore. Despite the fact that my sister jamypye and cousin sassy_semplang are swamped with work, my brother _lexizzle busy with law school, they came full force for me. Three more days of this? Yes please.

[-] But really, WTF TINYPIC?! After disallowing international usage of the site and giving us 2 days notice, they bring it back. THE INTERNET WINS. Still it was such a hassle, I scampered to back up my stuff. That wasn't fun. Not cool at all, Tinypic. Not cool.

Monday
It's funny how word spreads of my resignation. Random folks from the office who I'm not really close to are asking me when my last day is. One of our tech guys, who I sort of thought was cute at one point in my office life, asked about my leaving and when he found out Friday was my last day, he chided me for not telling him and that it was so soon. i don't really talk to this guy much other than to ask for help with my computer but it was nice of him to ask. I know he didn't mean anything by it, but yeah, I'll let it go to my head, okay? I'll take what I can get.

Tuesday
My supervisor told me that I wasn't doing my anxiety-deep-breathing thing as much anymore. I didn't realize this as well and she said she shouldn't have called me on it, lest I got conscious again, but I realized she's right. These past few days, I've been pretty good about the entire breathing situation and I hope it continues on for good. Perhaps it really is an anxiety thing, but I'm gonna try my best to regulate my breathing and this feeling of breathlessness. I think I should really get serious about that yoga thing too. I just need to stop being so lazy.

Wednesday
The office was pretty chill today and so my teammates and I had a snack outside this afternoon and if there's one thing I'm going to miss about my job, it's that my teammates know how to make me laugh. We were talking about the most inane things and yet it was so funny that my stomach hurt from too much laughter. I hope my new job gives me pretty good teammates. I know I won't be able to have this same kind of dynamic in the new place (I could only hope), so I just hope the folks will be as nice to me as they were in this one.

Thursday
It was my last day of work and though I told myself I wouldn't cry, I couldn't help but get teary eyed when my supervisor Tash started the water works. I have to say, it's been a pretty good run with the company (if you discount the constant drama) and I am thankful for the opportunity they gave me. We had lunch out with my team at KFC because we're all pretty obsessed with the California Maki Twister. And then after work, I had a facial courtesy of my sister (I hadn't used the gift certificate since Christmas!). Good day really, bittersweet but great.

Friday
Despite not having work, I still had to run some pre-employment errands (picking up my NBI clearance) and the line was extra long at City Hall. I'm glad it only took me 45 minutes to get to the front of the line but at least that's out of the way. And though I'm not one to usually put off packing for a trip, but I've been too busy/exhausted with my last week at work that I hadn't gotten around to packing until the last minute. Hopefully, I brought just enough stuff for my trip. I haven't gone on a plane in a long time, so I'm was pretty psyched.

Saturday
Exhausting day is truly exhausting but totally fun. After arriving in Singapore a little past 1am, my sister and I stay up till 3am just talking and then wake up at around 7am to get things going. From here I'd love to go into detail (perhaps in my vacation recap but not here) but let's just say I didn't stop moving till I got home and almost collapsed on the couch. From Chinatown to Bugis to the Marina (HELLO F1 WEEKEND!) Novena and back to Ang Mio Ko, I didn't know how my sister packed so much in a day but she did. I'm gonna be broke.

Sunday
And yet another CRAZY DAY. I thought we'd started the day later having missed the first two masses I had originally wanted to attend but after the 9:45 am mass, there was no stopping my sister from taking me EVERYWHERE. We had lunch first at the Sommerset Youth Park before heading to Ikea on Alexandra and spending forever and a half there (the meatballs and chicken wings were superb though). Then outlet stores for shoes and clothes followed by the longest most tiring park walk EVER. Finally, dinner at Vevo and back home. I am broke.

siblings, first job, vacation, internet, 2010 weekender, more family
