Olive Wins!!![
Just Jared]Suck it ABC! Despite
Pushing Daisies's cancellation, the uber talented Kristen Chenoweth still won best supporting comedy actress (as Olive Snook) at the 2009 Primetime Emmy Awards. I can't believe she's 41.
I didn't get to watch the entire show, as I woke up late (finally getting to sleep in for the first time this long weekend), but I caught the gorgeous cast of
Mad Men win best drama which made me really happy.
I'm glad she got her Emmy! I can't wait to see her on Glee this week. Fantastic!!!
Where'd the Black Tipped Hair Go?
Drew's been rocking hair with black-dipped ends and though she looks pretty rad with it, I'm glad she didn't wear it to the Emmy's, because she looks fantastic in this Monique Lhullier dress! I love the dress, I love how she looks. So pretty. She looks so fresh-faced and young and just wow.
Leighton and Blake go bi-coastal
So the Gossip Girl ditch their beloved east coast for some west coast sun and they brought their A-game to the red carpet. I know not a lot of people like Leighton's dress, but I don't mind it too much. I'm not saying it's my favorite, but her Bottega Venetta dress is still so much better than her Costume Institute Met Gala dress.
Blake meanwhile looks quite the woman in her red Versace dress. Well I guess if you've got the body, you should flaunt it. I'm not a big fan of her hair being pulled back though. It looks too tight. Still, I appreciate the over-all look.
The Mad (Wo)Men Show The Sterling Cooper Boys Who's Boss
Christina Hendricks looks amazing in her blue form fitting dress. I guess you could put a potatao sack on her and she'd look fabulous. Woman and her curves are just the perfect combination and she looks impeccable. I want to be a redhead too, please.
Meanwhile, Peggy Olson Elizabeth Moss looks all grown up in her asymetrical Reem Acra gown. It's so cute how she and Fred Armisen were going all googly eyes at each other right before the cast went up the stage for their best drama win. I need to see their wedding phtoos when they do get hitched.
And of course, January Jones just looks fucking impeccable in her mint green (though it's not obvious from photos) Versace dress that would have looked less amazing on any other lesser mortal. I swear woman is just utter perfection and needs to get together with Jon Hamm like right now.
Show Them Who's Won Olive!!!
It realy makes me happy to know that Kristen won just because I totally loved her character on the show -- not just because I could relate to her, but because she was just made of all kinds of adorable. Look at her so happy with her award.
This goes to you ABC! Suck it! I swear, I can't believe they canceled this show already. They should go die now. Wave that Emmy proudly woman. You deserve it.
And because this post would not be complete without a little eyecandy, here's some Jon Hamm to tide me over. I do not understand why he is not with January Jones. When he and girlfriend kissed right before he went up the stage, I just wanted to say, you should be kissing January! You'd make pretty babies!
Also, Liz Lemon Tina Fey, you're one lucky girl for getting to kiss Jon Hamm (even if just for show) and then get to hold onto the crook of his arm like that. You are now part of an elite club of those lucky enough to breathe the same air as him.
