November: Flightless Bird, American Mouth (Iron & Wine)
Obviously, my November was very Twilight-centric. From the moment I started reading the books (October 31 thanks to celeni) to when I started really getting addicted (around November 4 -- when I finished Breaking Dawn) and to the entire movie anticipation/viewing phase (which I'm still currently in).
Obviously, the soundtrack had a lot to do with it. I love movie soundtracks and though Twilight's didn't grow on me till after a few listens, I had my favorites upon first listen. I really loved Muse's "Supermassive Black Hole" (which nearly beat this song out of its top spot) and Mute Math's "Spotlight" and let's not forget both of Rob Pattinson's songs on the album. But what really stood out for me especially after watching the movie was Iron & Wine's "Flightless Bird, American Mouth."
No wonder Kristen Stewart could barely keep herself from crying when they were filming that scene (although my shipper heart thinks something else). The song is beautiful and it just felt so right for that scene. Of course, I wouldn't mind dancing to that with Rob/Edward either, but for now I'll settle for sleeping at night to it.
