Got a nice little pick me up today, an E-mail from my cousin in Arizona, hardly ever hear from her anymore and it's been hard on me. She's getting married in May so I know she's been busy and has her soon to be hubby to take care of all her needs. It's just that we've always been really close and went through a lot together, always told each other everything and for the last several months it hasn't been the same. She hasn't been there for me and I feared it would be that way forever. I know that relationships change and people grow apart, but thought she would be different.
Anyway, I sent her a little email last week as kind of a test to see if she would respond...and today she did! It was short and sweet, but that doesn't matter, it was something! And the last line really made me feel good, she apologized for having been distant and said she has a lot going on.
Just comforting to know she noticed that she's been more distant from me because I was beginning to think she didn't notice or care.
