Oh, c'mon!

I am officially irked.

So here is the deal: I receive aid from a state agency here in California, called MediCal (whoever named this agency obviously wanted to be "clever"), that can help pay for medical equipment that my health care provider (which is private industry of course) denies to purchase. Anything related to toiletry or hygienic matter is denied--as who needs, absolutely needs, to use the bathroom or shower? No one, according the my provider, apparently, in their infinite wisdom. The jerks.

Now, I applied and received Social Security from the government as I possess a disability. My social worker and literature indicated I would automatically receive MediCal benefits with getting Social Security. (Though I was not eligible to have MediCal before getting SSI [Social Security Insurance] for some unknown reason. The welfare system in the States is labrithinine and bureaucratically senseless much of the time.)

Yet, now, the state agency--yes, another one--California Children's Services (CCS), whom I am covered up until I am 21, and affords me free therapy and monies for equipment, thinks differently than I. CCS has to work with MediCal to get me money from MediCal, which is so backwards and inefficient I have no words for it. CCS claims I have no MediCal coverage, despite the fact I have a friggin' MediCal Benefits Identification Card! With an ID number!

That makes sense, huh? I apparently, according to CCS, I have a card issued by MediCal to me but am not in the system. Which is impossible, right? I'd sure think so.

I e-mailed the parent government agency--yes, another agency again--for MediCal to try to prove to CCS I have MediCal coverage, which should be CCS's job. The customer service agent asked me what CCS was in a reply! I promptly provided a link to the customer service representative for her own agency's website. On the website was (guess what!) a page on CCS!

Screw this, I am moving to Norway.
