Announcement stolen from the Oubliette Ensemble facebook page! Come on out and see us tonight -- the show is free, and the rain is supposed to hold off until tomorrow. :)
----------------------------------------------
Date: Monday, July 12, 2010
Time: 8:00pm - 10:00pm
Location: Clark Park (on the slope of the Dog Bowl), West Philadelphia
Street: 4300 Chester Avenue
City/Town: Philadelphia, PA
Folk / medieval / dark faeirie tale music on the slopes of Clark Park. Monday evening, July 12th, 8 pm, FREE of course!
OUBLIETTE ENSEMBLE: you know us.
TERRA SERPENTIS: bagpipes, crumhorns, rauschpfiefe, recorders, drums, etc... super medievally, sometimes slightly creepy in only the best possible way, it's what metal heads in the 14th century would have thrashed to, I'm sure of it.
Bring a blanket and refreshments, bug spray and citronella candles, and your undying enthusiasm for beautiful and weird old (and new) music.
This show will be performed vigilante style, as it is not under the jurisdiction of any neighborhood association or weird promoter. So...yay.
