Yeah, that hit the spot
Pieces shalmestere, hudebnik, and I played yesterday on recorders: "Dou way Robin," "Ma Tre Dol Rosignol," Machaut's "De toutes flours," and "De tous biens plaine," the last in two different keys so I could get the line in my head for alto experimentation. There were one or two other pieces in there too, I think, but I forget because playing F fingerings on alto recorder MADE MY BRAIN EXPLODE. Seriously, it got rough for a while -- in the middle of agonizing over a fingering, hudebnik asked me to pick up my tenor and show him how I play a C... and I couldn't remember. Heh heh heh.
It was fantastic to be able to spend the afternoon playing, though, and eventually I'm going to get the hang of this alto thing! There's at least some progress being made...
