Yeah, I'm a little concerned that she may have her father's deadpan sense of humor! ;)

*hug* Ohmygosh, how terrifying!

I'm so so happy that everything is OK!

Hey you in there, Baby Girl! Don't scare Mommy like that anymore, OK?

Thanks. Mommy will try not to scare herself unnecessarily from now on, too. *grin*

Oh wow do I feel your anxiety. Sometimes they just nap for a while, but it's so hard not to panic when you get used to regular thumping.

For the record, it was true in our case that kicky fetuses turn into kicky babies. And in general, better safe than sorry.

You may have tried this already, but I found that fairly emphatic abdominal massage was the best way to restart movement. Also, deep bass music - church organs would invariably drive the Wumpus crazy. Fetuses can hear low tones much better than high ones - presumably so they can learn their dad's voice.

I actually haven't tried the massage yet, but will if anything like this happens again. I've noticed the sprout definitely reacts to music with a lot of heavy percussion -- maybe I ought to keep a taiko CD in the car! :)

Listening to pistol matches works too; my mother competed while carrying me, and amniotic fluid carries sound very well, and I have forgiven her, but I will never _forget_. The pistol she used is painfully loud, and she was on a line with 9 other people, firing rapid groups of 5 shots each with similarly loud pistols. I hope I kicked her a lot for that.

Taiko sounds like a safer bet. Or get some Bach organ works.

... wow. Yeah, I was planning on shooting some archery but not so much with the live ammo. :)

Oh, what a relief!

I am amused that the kid decides to engage in the aerobics until after the monitors were hooked up. Perhaps she craved an audience?

*grin* I hate to speculate, but I think we may be growing a little performer here, yep.
