Calling Olson, calling Memphis

On-air quirkiness...

OK, Mr. McGraw, what were you thinking? "When The Stars Go Blue," that was vaguely justifiable, but "Tiny Dancer"? "Tiny Dancer"!?! As a country song? Oy.

Last night in the car I hit what should have been the preset button for 88.5 WXPN and got Beyoncé doing "Crazy In Love." "What hideous mutant guest DJ would put that on adult alternative contemporary XPN?!?" I thought... until I realized I'm just clumsy and pushed the wrong button. XPN more than made up for the misunderstanding by playing an awesome reggae version of "Knock On Wood" by Toots Hibbert (of Toots & the Maytals) this morning. I may have to download that. :)

ETA: The charter school kids across the parade grounds from us are having their outdoor barbecue day today, and they're currently blasting "MMMbop"! Seriously, Hanson!!! I haven't heard that song in forever! Hee. Oh yeah baby, now we're transitioning into "SexyBack"!

No, I'm not really getting all that much work done. Why do you ask? :)
