Miss Helen suggested i write a witty commentary about the Wonderful Girl Posse Sleepover, and it has been days and days and i should write, before i forget. The thing is you see, that i am tired. gosh so darn tired! so we'll see what i can do, it won't be witty. this is what i am thinking, that is all i am thinking.
I met Helen on the earlier train to take us to Paramatta, We hid from youths in third from back carriage. I met toast which was very exciting and he told me many stories about things that he loves. I intruduced Helen to John Deer and friends were made.
Arriving at Alison's we helped decorate (i almost died from blowing up link-a-loons) and ate chips. Helen and Kelly and I made a quick journey to a Bi-Lo and had a brief but interesting conversation with a stranger about the need for a talking watch in modern society. I bought sparklers and a pin the tail on the donkey - they both are still at Al's.
We trudged up to the pizza shop and then the video store (still unsure why pizza was picked up first... anyone? I guess having food made me feel more like a youth, like we were being naughty) We were forced into renting 5 videos! and watched only one of them - you got served - still as bad as it was the first time, still as amusing as it was the first time. After Sophie arrived we played girl talk. I unfortunately do not remember any of my fortunes and this makes me sad. I think i was maybe going to marry Jake as a cowboy? i am not certain though, don't hold me to that. I konw that i did have to drink water out of a bowl like i was a dog. That is one thing i will not forget.
I really think we fell asleep next, i am not clear on this but i do think we fell asleep. And sometime during the night John Deer got a girlfriend (!!!) and Toast got a crush. Toast was told countless times that John Deer is too young for him but it did not stop his attempts. I ended up telling a whisper story about John Deer and Toast in Singapore. I'm not sure if it was great but i was tired.
this is the sleep break: not alot of sleep was had here...
The morning was all animal crossing and holiday cereal. Slurpees and timbrels. And then a train home.
I had a somewhat disheveled trivial pursuit party that ended way later than it should have (trivial pursuit should not take THAT long to play, honestly!) but was still fun. Then the vandenbergs went home and us left over girls played match games - left over teenage party maybe?
We had dinner with the longs and then i fell asleep - but not well, i can't remember which night that was. hmm...
Monday was all Thim all Parramatta again and all band practice. Two out of three of those things were great, the other (i'll give you a hint, it is a suburb...) was not wonderful (only because 2 hours of travelling to get anywhere sucks when you have not slept well). Practice was great and i felt like i played in time and well. It made me really happy to feel like i could do something well.
More travelling - train trip number 4. - and Laura Veirs made me tired (Laura, only in a good way) and i got home late for a strange too tired to speak phone call and another bad night.
Tuesday i did nothing until work. I had to close which means 11:30 finish which is bad after not enough sleep.
Wednesday hanging out with Marc, who (through years of practice) understands me pretty darn well and said all the right things and all the things that i hate (the RIGHT things). We had Wagamama and then Kino and then JB and then I had tea and he had coffee and it was lovely. We stopped off last and Marc picked my new hair colour.
I had to go straight to work and it made me so angry. My manager apparently said i did a bad close, even though i thought it was ok. She grumped (apparently) because i didn't clean ON TOP of the coffee fridge - even though that has never been cleaned (it needed it, but no one does why should I get the grump?) and so i worked like crazy to make my other manager give me a good rap. I did a lot of crap jobs that i don't get paid enough for. that i am certain of.
I came home and dyed my hair, ready for a new look and a new life (something like that). While the dye was doing its thing Jeremy and i laughed at the Westwood webpage (www.timwestwood.com (i think)). and then i washed it out took photos and slept well for the first time in too long. it was great.
and now here i am. I have uni next week and i'm not ready. My room is messy and needs cleaning, but Hey! i have new hair!
Recreation of the previous nights girl talk game - notice that toast has children and marriage fortunes.
The playdate John Deer and Daisy May went on - Toast was not invited.
While everyone else had fun at the play date, Toast played Donkey Konga.
I always taught john to be a gentleman and here he is giving Daisy May a ride.
Steph and Erin figuring out who my true love is.
New Hair!!!!
It does not take a magnifying glass to see how tired i am.
