Hello!
I am so warm here, this house is warm, the clothes i am wearing are warm (a skirt too! a skirt!!). Seattle is nice, we've only just arrived but it has been so good to sleep in and then sit around and watch Muriel's Wedding (which i had not seen, weird watching it for the first time in Seattle! so weird...) so nice to just set aside today to do NOTHING!!!
I am 100% serious about getting all of you people who i love and miss and all of us moving together to Montreal. We'll all start learning French and love living in the city with the most beautiful snow and the best public transport that i have ever seen. I just wish our Montreal photos had been developed, i want to show you how beautiful everything is. So gosh darn pretty, all of it.
We spent days walking around the city, just looking in shops and wasting time, afternoons eating weird Quebec food, and evenings meeting new people and trying to speak French (badly, and not much...) I am so keen to learn properly when i get home now. I am thinking of taking night classes even, the language is really beautiful to hear and i am obsessed with the fact that Mon Petit Choo Choo (i think that is spelled correctly!) means My Little Cabbage and that it is an actual endearment! so obsessed!
Everyone we met was also so nice, they hardly made fun of us for being Australian and suprisingly few of them even knew that we had "riots" (by the way, what is happening with them? is Sydney still in lockdown??)
so yeah, i'm alive, i'm loving being here, i'm loving people and i'm loving living.
so my canada list, why not start here??
