oh gosh. Punk certainly is dead. i swear.
I have never seen so much money thrown away in my life. I have never ever seen so much money thrown away in fireworks and fire and confetti and rock ever. EVER. so awesome to watch Green Day dance for 2hoursand20minutes and swear and do other questionable things and make me totally offended but love every second of it(no not every second. towards the end i did feel a little like "another cover? i don't care that you know how to play 'We Are the Champions'")
I have never felt so old though. never. I was sitting in a box with loads of families! FAMILIES! crazy. and i sang along to old(er) jimmy (they did not play anything off clarity, but were still more awesome than greendayormychemicalromance) and danced in my chair to jimmy and noticed that no one except katie was doing the same.
My favourite GD songs were She, and the cover of Knowledge by Op Ivy. I sang along loud and noticed that no one else was again. I was seated though, so i guess the standing fans may have been... but still. ANd it felt dirty that a punk band can explode all that money!
The best thing about my chemical romance was the way that the singer (Gerard! what a funny name!) kept saying "Hi we are MY CHEMICAL ROMANCE" with the stress on MANCE. it made me laugh, and i laughed at his constant cussing and was offended by his constant cussing and laughed at his leather jacket extreme heat combo and the french guy who seems to have joined his band.
The most important thing to note is this: the kids who thought they were cool looked like idiots and the kids who knew they weren't looked much better.
