Hey y'all!
As many of you know, I'm in Savannah, GA! I've been here since last Thursday night, and we leave tomorrow night to head back to California. It is so beautiful here, and I'm going to miss having a reason to visit. My brother graduated from SCAD (Savannah College of Art and Design) with his MFA in Illustration. I'm so proud of him! We've been celebrating that, but also trying to help him prepare for the move back to California. He is driving across the country with my dad.
So we've been having a great time here! It is so relaxing. I think my favorite part is that there are huge live oaks all over the place and they are just dripping with spanish moss (which isn't a moss at all!). It is awesome how many big, old trees are in the city. Plus, we are staying in an old house in downtown right on one of the historical squares. It's awesome!
We've had some great food. No fried chicken yet, but I have had grits. We are headed to a diner for lunch, and then The Pirates' House for dinner. It should be fun, and we might even go on a ghost tour tonight.
I'l be back in California, but I might come back with an accent. There will be pictures at a later date.
