Well, I bought a new car yesterday. I have dumped my old 1996 Chevy Cavalier. The Chevy was -I hope- the last pseudo-grad-school, po-folk teacher car that I will have to own. That is - until I am a retired teacher and eating at the local soup kitchen.
I now own a 2004 Toyota Camry XLE. Dark gray exterior, light gray interior, 6 CD player, dark wood grain interior, so many do-dads, buttons and switches - I hardly know what to do. So quiet inside, I can barely hear the engine and a soft ride for my bad back.
Considering my first car was a 1969 Impala, which I bought out of someones pasture (he used it to feed the horses), this is a move up. Near luxury.
