The Spring 2006 semester of school is over and I am happy as ever about it.
Let me bring my life back up to speed.
-Helped Egon's Unicat lose the Battle of the Bands at the Pub.
-Saw DragonForce play a sold out show at the Metro. It was the greatest show ever and I was proud to be part of the loudest and proudest fans in the damn city. We started DragonForce chants everywhere. And everywhere we were, people joined in.
-Had the last Urbana 4M of the semester with a decent crowd and wonderful showing of Santa's Slay.
-Took three finals in 24 hours one of which was worth 60% of my final grade.
-Played the first night of the three day Egon's Unicat/Dancing Nancies/IceAge Cobra tour in Urbana.
-Went to SuperValu at 8 a.m. for a four hour (paid!) orientation and then took a final worth 40% of my final grade.
-Went to Princeton for night two of the tour.
-Went to the Pub for night three.
-Saw M:i III and Failure to Launch at the drive-in with my girl and were the only ones there.
-Just finished removing a stupid virus from the computer here at home.
Tonight is back to business with some Hometown 4M and I'm excited because Sean claims to have a special treat. It's probably the worst movie ever, but it will be great. In other good news, if you didn't realize above, I actually got hired at SuperValu. I start on June 5th where my first day of training will be learning to drive the vehicles that carry the palettes and talking into a microphone for twenty minutes for a computer to recognize my voice because the whole center is voice-activated!! Fuckin' James Bond shit in a damn distribution center. The only real drawback to the job is that I have to spend my time in a 20 below zero freezer.
Plus I get a fized schedule and that is sweet.
Sunday 3:00-12:30
Monday 3:00-9:00
Thursday 3:00-9:00
Friday 12:00-4:00
It's only 24 hours a week, but the starting wage is $12.19 an hour plus I get a .30 an hour bonus for working in the freezer, a .25 an hour bonus for my three shifts that start at 3:00 p.m., overtime pay for hours over 8 on Sunday, and I get the annual raise on June 1st because I started on the payroll on orientation! I get a raise before my first day of work!
Now all I have to do is not fuck it up which will probably be harder than it sounds. My body isn't cut out for physical work.
It's time for some dinner.
