“ I could stay here forever.”, Connor thought as he wiggled deeper into his pillow. An arm halted his movement and then grabbed a hold of his waist and pulled him closer to the body it was connect to. Trailing light kisses up the arm that held his he turn over to face the man with him. All he wanted to do was stay in the large bed and have time with the man he cared for so much but the chime of his alarm clock and the ring of the phone cured any notion of staying of that. Feeling the bed shift as his lover moved to turn off the annoying green clock, he turned to look at the ringing phone to his right. He didn’t want to talk to the other person on the other end so he let the phone ring a few more times before grabbing the receiver. He listened to the quite voice and after a few short seconds he placed the receiver back down, rolled over with a smile surprising his boyfriend with a tight hug and slow kiss then going back to sleep as the other as the man slowly got ready for the day.

An hour later he was dragged from his toasty nest on the bed, a yelping as his feet hit the cold cherry red flooring, and then gently tossed into the steam filled bathroom with a quick kissed to the back of his neck. What felt like hours in the shower he made to the kitchen where he saw Tom Ryan quietly humming to a song on the radio. Connor saw the makings of an full English breakfast beside Tom as the man washed so pans to cook with. Making his presents know to the man by a tight hug around his waist he told Tom that they had the day off unless they were badly needed because of waist high snow covering the streets. Going to the window and opening the blinds he sat down in the bright glow of the sunlight that bounced off the snow outside as he waited for the wonderful food that he knew was coming his way. Once breakfast was served a peaceful feeling filled the room, sounds of a few chirping birds by the window, as the two ate. After a few bites into the meal the silence was fill of talk of what to do with a free day from work. Being a child at heart the first thing Connor wanted to do was play in the snow. Connor looked up as he heard a chuckle from Tom’s direction and with a smile on his face, quickly finished his breakfast.

After a few hours in the snow, some snowmen and snow dinosaurs gathered around the not so large front yard, found the two men in dry clothing lounging on the black leather couch in front of their television arguing about what to watch . The two finally decided to watch some of the James Bond marathon that was on . After a couple of movies the boys wandered in to the kitchen. A plate of simple sandwiches were made and taken back to the front room each with soda in hand. An hour into the next Bond movie the boys started to drift off and took a nap. An hour or so later found Connor leaving Tom’s strong arms and the softness of the leather couch and going to the large room they chosen for the office.

He looked around the room as he entered the room. A smile came to his face when he saw the signed Dh. Who poster, Star Trek posters and the few Star Wars posters that he had up. He headed to a desk cover in wires a plastic pieces that were to make a hand held ADD. He had enough parts for two. He got started and he got so involved in the making of the devices he didn’t notice Ryan working at the desk under the large window in the room. The sounds of fingers tapping and a shadow on in front of him made him realize that another body was in the room. He looked over his should to Ryan working on one of the two laptops in the room. Quietly rolling his chair beside his boyfriend he watched over a thick shoulder words filling out a report page on the laptop’s screen. This corner of the room had some shelves with some 3D puzzles upon them, a wooden T-Rex, Tower Bridge and a Bi-plane to name a few. The highlight of their puzzle adventures was a 1483 ,127 centimeters(4 feet) high puzzle of Big Ben. It took the two men five weekends to get it pieced together. It now sat in the middle of the desk the men shared next to smaller form of the TARDIS. Also in the corner, hanging from the ceiling were a couple of model airplanes that he watched Ryan carefully put together. An hour later the two men left their office stopping in the doorway as they when back to the kitchen for dinner.

Twenty minutes later the kitchen was filled with the smell of baking chicken and potatoes. While waiting for the food to cook time was filled with talk of going to work the next day and how they would get there since Ryan’s truck was still under some snow. The beep of the over timer halted their talk as plates and silverware were gathered and placed on the table. The conversation continued as the two ate. The guys decided that of they were called in they, they would call for a ride from a friend with a vehicle better suited for snow.

The rest of the time before the guys went to bed was spent watching another James Bond movie, talking of trivial things like cars and what the next dinosaur could be coming from the next anomaly and gathering up all they would need for the next day. As the two men got ready for bed Connor thought to himself “ Today was great. Hope to have another day like this one soon.”
