I suppose I can do it when I am being abnormal.
Greetings from Waukesha, Wisconsin (Home of Les Paul)!
I am spending the weekend hanging out with the old friends (the ones to whom I owe my real independence). It seems like not much has changed here. Joan still has a ton of cats, newly though, one ferret. Nikkii has a kid (named Joseph) and dog and cats and wow. It seems like yesterday that Joan and I moved here after a visit for Nikkii's graduation. That was five years ago! I really did like it here, I might still. It is weird to be back. Gas is not cheap here either. I should have stopped in Menominee where it was only... ONLY... $3.089 per gallon.
The trip down was uneventful and I made good time but they rearranged some roads on me since I was here last time. Okay, in truth, only one road was different, I just missed a turn in one spot. Thankfully I can still get around Waukesha without a problem. They moved HWY 164 North of Waukesha from one road to another about a mile away. I realized this when it no longer looked like things had gotten built up and changed the way it looked (really when I crested the hill into Pewaukee (which wouldn't normally have happened at all). Fuckin' Wisconsinites don't ever get to be in the Normal Time Zone. That and when I sleep in to 10:00 it is still Nine here and this is a late night group.
Note to
jhusan: I will not give you any shit about being old if you don't give me any shit about now being a quarter of a century old or having lived one-third of my life.
It just occurs to me that I shouldn't have said that... Oh well.
