haven't got much else to write about, so i guess i'll mention the movies and books i've been keeping myself busy with.
i was browsing at best buy yesterday with my friend annemarie and we found this weird stack of vouchers for the movie wall-e. it was supposed to come with the purchase of a video game, but we couldn't find the particular video game, and the vouchers expired yesterday, so we just took a couple and went to see if they'd work. so yeah, i got to see wall-e for free. totally worth it though, it was a really cool movie. i loved that the bad guy was voiced by macintalk and looked like HAL. it was really funny, and cute, and kind of a fun commentary on the human race.
i also discovered a website called scribd, which has books online that you can read for free over the internet, which is awesome because i owe the CU library like, twenty five bucks, and thus cannot show my face there until i pay up. so i read that twilight series that everyone is talking about. it wasn't that great; frankly, i was expecting a little more. bella, the main character, literally and figuratively stumbled through the books, and it was more of a romance novel than anything else. they weren't a difficult read (i finished all three in two days), and they weren't horrible, but they were definitely... fluffy. like, book you read on the beach or on a long plane ride. not a whole lot to think about, not much complex humor... kind of like cosmo or glamour. only with vampires.
anyone else got anything good they've been reading lately? if yes, join goodreads.com and be my friend so that i can see what you're reading and steal it from you, because i don't start work until next week and i'm kind of bored. okay, not kind of, more like REALLY. really bored. (goodreads is like facebook for books. it's nifty.)
